Alabama Theatre

Legendary Country music stars ALABAMA had a desire to return to their musical roots in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  This is where they honed and nurtured their talent and impressive three-part harmonies while playing at The Bowery, a local nightclub, for tips. Wanting to bring a unique perspective to the existing entertainment industry currently on the “Grand Strand”, the Alabama Theatre was born.

The Alabama Theatre’s opening in 1993, caused Myrtle Beach to be many of the headlines of major network media including CBS Morning Show, NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, CMT, TNN and countless national and regional publications. Alabama Theatre was even a question on the popular game show Jeopardy.  Gaylord Entertainment was brought on board to collaborate in writing, directing and producing a nightly production show incorporating all musical types and styles. Gaylord Entertainment, then owner of the Grand Ol’ Opry, Opryland, Opryland Hotels, TNN & CMT, was no stranger to big time show business.

Each year families attend One - The Show, Voted #1 By Myrtle Beach Visitors and Locals.  It is two fun-filled hours of great music, dance and comedy something for the entire family.  One The Show plays six nights a week.

The South’s Grandest Christmas Show begins November 4th and plays through New Year’s. This year’s Christmas production brings an incredible combination of talent and special effects for a spectacular holiday musical experience sure to put you in the spirit.
